Teen Group in Columbus, Ohio

Teenagers often talk more freely with people their own age than with adults. Our Teen Group is a therapist-led space where adolescents can build emotional regulation skills, practice healthy communication, and connect with peers who are dealing with similar pressures.

What this looks like

The group meets at our Columbus office on a recurring schedule with rolling enrollment. Sessions are structured around a skill — naming emotions, handling conflict, managing stress and anxiety, coping with school and social pressure — with plenty of room for discussion and activity-based practice.

A licensed clinician facilitates every session and keeps the space safe. Teens are never pushed to share before they are ready, and group confidentiality is a condition of participation. Parents receive general updates about goals and progress rather than a recap of what their teen said.

Who this is for

  • Teens working on anger, anxiety, or emotional regulation
  • Adolescents who feel isolated or disconnected from peers
  • Stress related to school, family, or social media
  • Teens in individual therapy who would benefit from peer support

How this is covered

We are in-network with Molina Healthcare, Buckeye Health Plan, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, and CareSource. For clients covered by these Ohio Medicaid plans, services are typically provided at little to no out-of-pocket cost. Private pay is welcome, and a limited number of reduced-rate spots are available for clients experiencing financial hardship.
