Middle School Group in Columbus, Ohio
Middle school is when friendships shift, expectations grow, and big feelings arrive without much warning. Our Middle School Group gives students a developmentally appropriate place to understand those emotions, build coping skills, and gain confidence.
What this looks like
The group meets at our Columbus office on a recurring schedule with rolling enrollment. Sessions mix short skill lessons with games, activities, and discussion, because students this age learn best by doing rather than by talking for an hour.
A licensed clinician leads each session and sets clear ground rules, including confidentiality. Students are encouraged but never required to share. Parents get regular updates on goals and progress so the skills carry over at home.
Who this is for
- Students who struggle to name or manage strong emotions
- Social challenges, friendship conflict, or bullying
- Worry, low confidence, or school avoidance
- Early behavioral health needs that benefit from peer practice
